A variation on our popular 13 Strand Braid Belt, but this time in colour!
Inspired by the braid structure of a Bronze Age bracelet, and also by the colour schemes of two Iron Age braid fragments, this kit offers a belt length, free-end* braid in pure linen on a simple ring. Much simpler to work than it first appears, the end structure is a 2:2 twill.
Supplied with both a metal and wooden ring, a mini chunk of beeswax to smooth threads if needed (this stage is optional), and your choice of either two shades, or two and an accent colour. We’ll wind the yarn to suit your intended colour scheme.
Three possibilities are shown here, but the only limit is your imagination. When checking out, just tell us which two or three you like best.
*the originals may have used fingerloop braiding methods, but that’s tricky solo with 13 loops, especially for long lengths like this, so we use the alternative method that works best for long lengths and also allows you to pause whenever you like.
