Ordering Information:
Many of Sally’s products are made to order, and when we reach maximum capacity for the next few months the listings will close until the next order date and time. If you are waiting for the next order date, please take a note of the details on the main Shop page and be ready to order as soon as the section opens again, its not uncommon for all the available slots for things like stockings to sell out in under half an hour from opening! The hat section usually stays live for a few days each time. I also announce the next order dates at least a month in advance in my once-monthly newsletter.
Tips on getting your order in if it is busy!
Check the style, size and shade you want in advance (although we can always tweak that after ordering if necessary)
Set yourself a reminder for five minutes before the shop opens so you can be ready.
If you are planning on ordering kits, hats etc as well as stockings I recommend getting these into your basket first so you can select your stockings and check out as soon as the listings go live to avoid missing out. It really can be that crazy busy!
Don’t worry if you see a section apparently empty of all products in the hour before orders open, I’m trying a new method that should let everything go live at once at the correct time.
Having the item in your basket doesn’t secure it. The shop counts stock as orders go through checkout!
Post options show fully once your address is input, until then you may only see local pickup or airmail showing!
Please check your country is correct
Postage:
We use Royal Mail pricing for our parcels, and the shop will work out the rate based on the weight of the parcel and your destination. For most UK buyers, that will be £4.59 for a First Class parcel under 2kg. Overseas airmail will vary by region, but as an initial idea, an up to 250g parcel to Europe is usually around £13.25 and the same to the US is usually about £16.85 (500g is just £21.85, it gets proportionally cheaper as the weight goes up). In most cases, a typical hat order will fall into that weight range.
US customers:
You should find the shop now automatically adds the 10% import duty as a ‘sales tax’ and the post office handling charge is embedded in the postage costs. This is a new addition so please bear with us if anything needs tweaking as this order round goes live.
Other Countries:
You may have import duties and handling charges applied by your local authorities. We have no control over this. The cheapest way to order is to get several things at once, as a larger parcel costs very little more than a small parcel. If several friends share an order, you can also share any customs handling charges.
Film, Group, Museum etc orders:
If you would like to discuss a commission before ordering, or are a heritage site, film wardrobe, large group order or similar needing to order through a finance system and pay by bank transfer, get in touch and we can discuss the options.
Returns, exchanges etc:
We want you to be happy with your order and have a general business policy of being nice people to deal with. If something needs to come back for exchange, we will do our best to sort things out calmly and promptly. If you just change your mind, refuse import duties, or some other reason that is not under our control, we can usually refund the cost of goods less any bank/Paypal charges once the items are safely back to us. Post charges will have already been used up, and are generally not refundable.
