Based on a late 14thC Venetian carving on the Doges Palace of a man in a pointy hat of the type usually grouped together under 'Acorn Caps', this is a friendly, cosy little cap knitted in pure wool then shrunk after knitting to make a dense fabric, this has a neat hemmed edge for a smooth finish.
Any size or shade you like, the point can be made longer or shorter as well, just let me know what you would like when you order.
Made to order. The way our order book is currently working, we open the shop approximately once a month for new commissions and shut it again once we have as many orders as we think we can realistically make over the next 6 weeks or so. Please be aware that your order may fall anywhere into that timescale. We'll always aim to be as prompt as we can.
Sally Pointer - Heritage education
bringing you objects, skills, and inspiration from the past, to enrich the future
We are sorry to have to announce that Gareth died on Friday 26 March 2021 after being diagnosed with cancer in the autumn of 2020.
Sally had surgery for breast cancer on 30 March and is also currently doing an MSc in Experimental Archaeology, so between healing and university is currently working a bit more slowly than usual. Thank you for your patience and support!
