Based on a carving of a man in a 'flowerpot hat' on the 14/15th century Doges Palace in Venice, this interpretation of a medieval Italian hat has been hand knitted in pure wool, then heavily felted before having its surface napped and cropped by hand.

This hat is typically worn pushed back on the head and will 'perch' rather than coming down over the ears. If you would prefer a larger fitting, just say.

Made to order. The way my order book is currently working, I open the shop approximately once a quarter for new commissions and shut it again once I have as many orders as we think I can realistically make over the next three months or so. Please be aware that your order may fall anywhere into that timescale. I'll always aim to be as prompt as we can.
