Inspired by hats seen in Breughel paintings. Naturally dyed to a  strong orange with madder root, this pure wool hat is well fulled and has the nap raised with teasels during the finishing process.
 
Madder can range in tone from warm orange to teracotta red, no two hats are ever exactly the same, but if you have a peference for one end of the madder colour range, do let me know and I'll do my best to aim for that whilst dyeing your hat. Blocked to an average adult head size as standard, but I'm very happy to adjust that to suit a more specific head measurement if you let me know what you require.

As with all our made to order hats, let me know if you need a specific head size and check the main hat page of the shop for current lead times. The way our order book is currently working, we open the shop approximately once every three month for new commissions and shut it again once we have as many orders as we think we can realistically make over the next 12 weeks or so. Please be aware that your order may fall anywhere into that timescale. We'll always aim to be as prompt as we can.
